The Group Risk department is responsible for AEGON’s enterprise risk management program along with risk management oversight covering all risks for all activities of the group. The department has close relationships with counterparts in AEGON’s businesses group-wide. AEGON’s risk management staff structure is fully integrated. Operating unit CRO’s have a direct reporting line into AEGON’s Chief Risk Officer or one of the regional CRO’s who report directly into AEGON’s Chief Risk Officer. Regions include the Americas, Central & Eastern Europe and Asia. The department is headed by AEGON’s Chief Risk Officer who reports to the Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Board.
Functie
The Risk department of AEGON N.V., seeks a highly professional and experienced risk professional to provide risk support for various country units.The role will also involve working on certain global risk projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Build relationships with risk and finance staff in the businesses
- Need to thoroughly understand the business, markets, products, systems and processes
- Member of business ALM, pricing committees etc
- Support Regional Risk Officer and business CRO challenge and oversee operations from a risk and strategic perspective
- Working with the Regional Risk Officer and business CRO, identify best practices locally to be shared in the broader group and help implement locally best practices identified elsewhere
- Working with the Regional Risk Officer and business CRO, problem solve and work local issues (consulting role)
- Prepared to be onsite in the business for periods of time in order to help train and education local risk staff on AEGON’s ERM framework and help the business CRO problem solve and work local issues.
Profiel
Qualifications must include:
- Mathematics and statistical aptitude (actuarial, econometrics, mathematics or similar)
- Strong problem solver
- Technically strong (mathematics and programming)
- Good communication skills (listening, verbal, written)
- Thorough and analytical
- Curious yet practical
- Detail oriented
- Fluency in Dutch and English (both written and oral)
- Excellent communications skills overall
Aanbod
Salary level: competitive primary and secondary packagewhich is based on experience and qualifications.
Working hours: 40 hours.
Contract: 1 year contract, extension based on performance
