Job Description

Contribute to a healthy credit portfolio and minimize credit losses for Rabobank by supporting corporate clients facing financial difficulties.

You and your job

As Director, you manage designated portfolio of corporate clients transferred from Business departments  facing financial difficulties.  You will use your expertise and experience for their benefit and thereby you contribute to a healthy credit. Our mission is to create new perspectives for our clients by providing dedicated expertise on restructuring and recovery. Furthermore you have an advisory role to Risk/Business departments on early detection of financial difficulties.

• Successful corporate and financial restructuring of Wholesale clients, including involvement in foreclosure, litigation or liquidation processes.
• Consistent and precise reporting that enhances portfolio management and decision-making.
• Enhanced strategies, practices and proper provisioning for managing distressed assets, leading to better risk control and compliance.

Facts & Figures

• 40 hours per week
• Approximately 60-70 corporate clients with financial difficulties within the Wholesale organization
• FR&R Wholesale & Rural (“WR”) is the international division of FR&R and consists of around 90 people worldwide.
• 9.5 million customers around the world

Top 3 responsibilities

• Analyse & Interpret with customer focus: Manage a portfolio of clients with financial difficulties and defaults across our region and various products.
• Internal & External Stakeholder Management: Maintain relationships with syndicates, financial advisors and external counsels.
• Support & Cooperate: Advise on watch list accounts to help relationship managers develop strategies to prevent further deterioration to FR&R.

Position within the organization

FR&R EA&A is responsible for corporate clients in financial difficulties in the Wholesale organization in the region Europe, Asia & Africa. All our activities within FR&R are performed through regional teams (such as the FR&R EA&A team) in close collaboration with the Global FR&R team in Utrecht. We are part of the CRO domain next to the risk management department within the region EA&A.

You and your talent

• Bachelor or Master degree in financial or target industry;
• At least 10 years of experience in account management, risk management or restructuring environment;
• Excellent English communication skills and leadership experience;
• Strong track record in strategic thinking and strong analytical skills;
• Knowledge of the Wholesale portfolio, countries, cultures and languages is preferred;
• Knowledge of (complex) loan structuring and risk mitigation;
• Understanding of credit fundamentals and legal knowledge;
• Results-oriented, client-focused, and strong in sensing needs; and
• Promoting collaboration and building relationships.
