Global Compliance Monitoring Officer

As a member of the Global Compliance Monitoring Team at Rabobank, you are part of the second line of responsibility where you play a pivotal role in contributing to Rabobank’s commitment to compliance, by working in several quarterly compliance monitoring assessments.

You and your job

In the Global Compliance Monitoring team, we work on signal driven and regular compliance monitoring & testing activities in all Rabobank businesses covering all parts of the world. We professionally challenge our stakeholders, aim to deliver independent, sustainable and actionable insights and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Top responsibilities

• Test the design and operating effectiveness to ensure that compliance risks are sufficiently mitigated;
• Apply different monitoring techniques (e.g., desk research, interviews, sample testing), assess monitoring results independently and draw overall conclusions based on compliance knowledge and understanding of the business;
• Data analysis: initiate and coordinate data requests, review output from dedicated dashboards (such as Archer Reporting & Analytics) to identify red flags and/or detect potential compliance risks, including in-depth data analysis to identify trends, anomalies and patterns in the data;
• Report assessment results timely, correctly and properly to stakeholders in closure meeting;
• Maintaining an auditable trail of monitoring records;
• Keeping abreast of relevant developments and changes to applicable laws and regulations, translate these to practical solutions.

You and your talent

• Knowledge and experience with the key compliance themes including Treating Customers Fairly, Data privacy, Record Keeping, Compliance aspects of ESG, Market Abuse, Anti-Corruption and Conflicts of Interest, or willing to learn;
• University degree or comparable level of work experience required together with a completed certified Compliance Professional/Officer education or willing to start this education;
• Excellent data analysis skills, knowledge of Excel;
• Audit, monitoring or QA experience in Compliance or compliance-related working environment.  Experience with monitoring techniques and preferably Rabobank’s Risk and Control framework;
• Fluent in Dutch and English, including high quality writing skills in English;
• An Ambassador for Compliance;
• Impeccable integrity and reliability;
• Team player and stakeholder management skills;
• You take initiative, enjoy meeting new challenges and know how to approach multiple hard deadlines.

This is what we offer you

• Gross monthly salary between €3,869 and €5,526 (scale 08)
• Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance
• 10% Employee Benefit Budget
• EUR 1,400 development budget per year
• Hybrid working: balance between home and office work (possible for most roles)
• A pension, for which you can set the maximum amount of your personal contribution
