
Senior Financial Risk Manager

What will you do?
You'll be working within our Financial Risk Management Department, covering ASN Bank's complete financial risk landscape. As a Senior Financial Risk Manager, you'll oversee all financial risks that enable our growth ambitions. The position demands strategic thinking paired with proactive risk management, positioning you to shape the bank's future strategy. As a trusted advisor to senior management, you'll tackle (complex) risk issues and drive improvement programmes. You'll maintain strong relationships with first-line stakeholders and collaborate across second and third-line functions on developments that shape our risk landscape. You'll lead critical discussions with confidence, covering business, capital, liquidity, interest rate, and credit spread risks.
Strategic Risk Advisory
- Serve as trusted advisor to senior management on financial risks aligned with organizational objectives
- Review and assess business proposals on a broad range of financial risk topics
Risk Assessment & Monitoring
- Identify, evaluate, and monitor potential financial risks across all business areas
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks and controls
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Engage with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management practices throughout the organization
- Communicate risk strategies, actions, and recommendations clearly to diverse stakeholders
Risk Policy/Framework Development
- Lead risk management initiatives and foster organization-wide cooperation on risk matters
- Ensure continuous improvement of risk management practices and regulatory compliance
- Set organizational risk appetite, develop comprehensive risk management policies, and drive continuous improvement in regulatory compliance

Your background includes:
- Education: University degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or related field
- Experience: 5-10 years in risk management within banking/financial institutions, consultancy, or with demonstrated expertise in ALM risks and strategy development
To be eligible for employment at ASN Bank in the Netherlands, you must possess:
• Valid residence permit
• Registered home address in the Netherlands
• Dutch social security number (BSN)

The gross annual salary for this position is between € 79.982 and € 106.643 (job scale 11) based on 36 hours work week (including 13th month en holiday allowance). In addition, you can count on:
- 36-hour work week.
