Your job

You will join as Senior Risk Manager in a team responsible for managing various ESG-driven regulatory changes across the bank. You will analyse the impact of ESG regulations on current risk management processes, determine gaps and work along with experts to efficiently and timely meet regulatory compliance. You will be supported by a team of subject matter experts from across ABN AMRO as well as project management professionals. In this way, you help the Risk Function play its role in helping ABN AMRO clients with their transition to a carbon-neutral economy. 

Working environment

The team is part of the bank-wide Sustainable Finance Regulations (SFR) Programme, which is organised into four ‘implementation offices’ with different focus areas (e.g. central risk, credit risk, data sourcing, finance reporting). The role is within the Central Risk Implementation Office (CERIO). This team is (partly) responsible for central oversight and execution of change risk management throughout the bank’s Risk Function for certain regulations such as the ECB Climate Guide on Climate & Environmental Risk (CERs), CSRD and ESG Risk CRR3/CRD6 and more to come. The team ensures integrated roadmap and planning are prepared and committed, relevant senior management committees are kept up to date on key challenges, dependencies, impediments and risks.  

Functionally you will be a part of Central Risk Management (CRM) which is a department within the Risk Management function. As Senior Risk Manager you will report to the Manager of the Central Risk Implementation Office (CERIO).

Your profile

You have the following profile:

  • You’ve successfully completed a higher professional education (Bsc.) or degree (Msc.) and have at least 10 years of relevant work experience (preferably in financial services industry and/or consultancy)
  • You have affinity with Risk Management, Banking and / or data
  • You have a proven track record in driving change in organisations and have project management skills (managing project plans, managing inter-dependencies etc)
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Dutch is an advantage)

We are offering

You get the space to help solve a significant challenge for the bank, namely supporting the bank and its clients in the sustainability transition. You will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise and/or develop yourself in the breadth of the function. 

In addition, we offer:

  • The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
  • An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
  • An excellent pension scheme.
