Strategic Design Expert Sanctions

You and your job

The strategic design team is responsible for the design and development of strategic Sanctions proposals so that the right decisions can be made. You will lead or contribute to initiatives that enable FEC Sanctions to reach their maturity targets with the aim to be best in class. Support and facilitate the high priority initiatives within FEC Sanctions, including sharpening objectives, resolving blockers and maximizing benefits realization. Make a difference by making sure, we as a bank ‘do the right thing’ now and in the future.

Practical Examples

• Using your knowledge of sanctions laws and regulations and industry best practices to design or redesign frameworks regarding the overarching Sanctions organization
• Assess where our control design can be improved and be at the forefront of initiatives regarding operational and risk based improvements.
• By taking a holistic approach we are able to oversee activities and processes within FEC Sanctions and implement improvements that benefit the entire chain.

Your responsibilities

• Staying up to date with the latest sanctions regulations and utilizing innovative tools and techniques to enhance the bank's sanctions program's effectiveness.
• Thinking out of the box and daring to go off the beaten track to come up with new approaches in the sanctions domain.
• Working together with a diverse range of stakeholders to make an impactful change to the FEC Sanctions teams, processes and risk mitigation.
• Challenging current sanctions controls set up with a view of implementing sharper, smarter, more efficient, customer-oriented improvements.

You and your talent

• Bachelor or Master’s degree;
• At least  5 years’ experience in Sanctions
• Excellent knowledge of Regulations and Guidance relating to Sanctions;
• Experience with complex senior stakeholder management and high organizational sensitivity and integrity;
• You are curious and interested in the developments of the FEC organization
• Proactive, and is always on the lookout on how FEC Sanctions can do things better.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written.
